Hardware Researcher for future audio and video products

Do you want to explore a wide range of future technologies and help bringing new hardware solutions into play for our future audio and video products? Then we have a very exciting and creative job proposal for you.

We investigate the future

At GN Audio, we develop intelligent audio and video solutions and bring them to the market under the brand name Jabra. We operate in many business areas - from contact centers and offices, to consumers, frontline workers and gamers. To keep us ahead of the game, the Hardware Research team explores, validate and demoes new technologies and solutions, as an initial step in the development of future Jabra products – such as headsets, speakerphones and video conference equipment.

Your research is key for creating great products

As a Hardware Researcher, you have a passion for new technologies within areas like wireless connectivity, intelligent audio, advanced sensors, AI and machine learning etc. With your creative and practical mindset you bring new ideas and solutions to the table. By creating functional mock-ups, you demonstrate the potential of these solutions and finally bring them to a maturity-level, where our development teams can take over for product implementation. As a natural part of the research studies, you document and present your work to our key stakeholders.

Influence the direction of our work

As we are a small team of 4 researcher, you will play a significant part in planning your own workday. To ensure the best possible solutions, we have a high level of collaboration across the organization – for instance with hardware, software, and mechanical development teams as well as product management and concepting teams – both in DK, China and US.

Are you our new colleague?

In the HW Research team we are searching for a new colleague that can master and drive new hardware research studies. Ideally you have:

  • a passion for new technology as that is what the work is all about.
  • a creative and idea-rich mindset since we must find new great solutions.
  • a practical and handy skillset as you will be making physical mock-ups and demos.
  • a solid knowledge about MCUs, sensors, interfaces, radio technologies, hardware system design and product development.
  • initiative and are self-driven, as you will be driving your own research projects.
  • presentational skills, so you can present and explain your great work to our stakeholders fluently in English.
  • a degree within electronics engineering or similar and several years of relevant experience.

Additionally, it is an advantage if you have experience within some of the following: Low level SW design, Audio and video product development, ML/AI, Bluetooth, DECT and WIFI systems.

The Jabra culture

The Jabra culture is upbeat and positive. We greet every day with energy and enthusiasm, bringing our best selves and approaching problem-solving and challenges with a ‘glass half full’ attitude. We’re independent, but we also know when two heads are better than one. Our leaders are supportive, our teams are tight-knit, and we believe in the power of collaboration across every level of our organization.
