Electronics Engineer with project lead responsibility

Electronics Engineer with project lead responsibility

Do you have great electronics engineering experience and good coordinator skills? And do you want to work with the newest technology in a fast-moving environment and company?

Then join us as our new lead electronics engineer for the R&D Hardware Engineering team in Jabra where we work with the best hands-free audio devices in the world.

Welcome to GN Audio – home of Jabra

At GN Audio in Ballerup, you will join the R&D Hardware Engineering team alongside colleagues in Denmark, China and US who are responsible for all hardware-related design aspects of development projects. We develop innovative headsets, speakerphones and other hands-free audio solutions for the Jabra brand that make life sound better.

We are an innovative, professional team that is currently going through a thrilling process as we focus on delivering high-quality products with exciting user functionality and optimizing the development processes so we can get products on the market quicker without compromising on quality.

Coordination and technical overview

As our new lead electronics engineer, you contribute to our electronics design, architecture, and system development. Importantly, you never lose sight of the big picture when you focus on moving the project forward. In this position, you will get the chance to work with different phases of the projects, from concepting over to execution and implementation of the finished product in close corporation with other disciplines like mechanic and audio engineering.

You will contribute with new ideas for innovative hardware design, and in the process, grow your skills even further. With your solid technical background and keen ideas of how to organize workflows, you will be the cornerstone in optimizing, coordinating and structuring the design and processes. Areas of responsibility:

  • Carrying out early technical feasibility studies and developing new designs
  • Co-ordinating and planning within the HW team and with other disciplines involved in the project
  • Guiding verifications processes, documenting and preparing for mass production
  • Performing value engineering on products
  • Manage JDM projects with development and manufacturing partners

Work in an environment with the newest technology – and room to play

At GN Audio, you will have access to high-quality development tools, R&D laboratories, test facilities and the newest technologies whilst working closely with proficient and hard-working colleagues in both Denmark, China, and US.

“We constantly strive to be the best in our field, challenge our knowledge and test the boundaries for technology – and we want you to do so too. Have an idea? Grab your manager and a cup of coffee – we’ll gladly hear you out,” says Morten Schmidt, Hardware Engineering Manager.

Electronics engineer with great coordination skills

With a solid experience within electronics engineering, you know your product development including concepting, design, modelling, simulation, verification, test methodologies, analysis and problem-solving of cross-functional issues. But over the years, you have gained a motivation for looking at the bigger picture and being part of coordinating and planning how we work.

As an enthusiastic and creative person, you do not always take the conservative road, but look at situations with a fresh eye. You are comfortable making decisions in a changing environment, and with a can-do mindset and motivated nature, you strive to follow projects all the way through from idea to production.

Additionally, we imagine that you have:

  • 5+ years’ experience with electronics engineering
  • A relevant education such as electronics engineer or similar
  • A fundamental understanding of RF and antenna design
  • Good stakeholder management abilities
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience from working in a global organization
